Apple Stores’ Apple Logo Changes From White To ‘RED’!

This past week, Apple seems to have had an event, where they changes their logo colour from white to "RED".

It begins on its flagship Sydney store, which they started changing its retail stores' Apple logo to RED, as an act to support the 2014 World AIDS Day which is celebrated on December 1.

According to Apples' CEO, Tim Cook, "Apple is a proud supporter of (RED) because we believe the gift of life is the most important gift anyone can give," He continued "For eight years, our customers have been helping fight AIDS in Africa by funding life-saving treatments, which are having a profoundly positive impact."

"This year, we are launching our biggest fundraising push yet with the participation of Apple's retail and online stores, and some of the brightest minds in the App Store are lending their talents to the effort, as well," he added.

Last week the company announced the World AIDS Day Campaign. Along with this, they feature special (RED) apps and exclusive new content for their consumers. Apple will also will be donating a portion of every sale at Apple's retail and online stores worldwide, while all earnings from apps is going directly to the Global Fund to fight AIDS.

The RED pledge has already produced more than £174.4 million for the Global Fund - with more than £47m coming from Apple alone.

Also, earlier this year, Product Red co-founder Bono admired Apple during an interview for its contributions of $75 million to the charity. Last year, the company made an official announcement that Apple had reached $65 million in donations, making it the biggest contributor of all companies.
