Constantine TV Series Spoiler Update: Good News!! Series Developer David Goyer Says NBC Likes His Show And It Is Not Yet Dead

| By

Constantine TV series is one of many fall shows rumored to be bidding the boob tube a goodbye after just one season. On November 23, it was reported that Hellblazer-based series was asked by NBC to stop production after its thirteenth episode. This is after the network announced that it has quasi-canceled comedy series A to Z and Bad Judge. Fans are disappointed with this news. However, according to the network, Constantine TV series' situation is different from the other two series that were given pink slip.

Now, after almost two weeks, Constantine series developer David Goyer has finally spoken out about the fate of his show, and it is a good news for the fans. According to the 48-year old screen writer and director, the show still has a good chance of coming back for a second season.

"It's not dead, at all, it's solidly in contention for a second season of NBC, which is still supporting it. Constantine got caught in the midst of a change that is happening at the networks. It gets big numbers on DVR and online views, but it is sort of a tweener that doesn't fit the traditional viewing box at the big networks," Goyer explained regarding Constantine series' situation as reported by Deadline.

"It's not State Of Affairs, it's just not that kind of show, but NBC likes it. It's frustrating what happened because creatively we've really started to hit our stride and people are responding to that. If I were a betting man, I would say there's an excellent chance for a second season," added the director who is also known for his works on Batma Trilogy

Since the news that Constantine TV series will have lesser episodes, fans have made conscious efforts to save the show which stars Matt Ryan in the title role. In fact, there is now a hashtag campaign #SaveConstantine and a post on the iPetitions.com with the mission to save the NBC series. The post set a 100,000 signatures goal and has accumulated 12,852 so far.
