Move over Taylor Swift and Meghan Taylor! Seems like we have a new singing star on the rise!

Seems like 24-year-old actress Jennifer Lawrence couldn't keep her talent to herself. Apparently, she's not only good in acting but also has the voice to top it off. The Oscar-winning actress has amazingly climbed up the music charts worldwide with her song entitled "The Hanging Tree," which is a track off the soundtrack to her film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1.

The young blonde-haired actress currently holds the number 12 spot on ARIA Australia Top 50 Singles Chart and the number 14 spot on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. The chart performance puts the actress (and now a singer) behind other gifted singers such as 1D, Taylor Swift, and Meghan Trainor, but above others like Nicki Minaj, Sam Smith and Lorde.

The song was composed by James Newton Howard and his masterpiece, "The Hanging Tree" is also performing well on the stateside. Billboard reported that the said track could move 150,000 copies and therefore make it a contender for the top 40 of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

The X-men: First Class star's decision to belt her tune in the film had clearly paid off. During the filming of the movie, the actress was not that excited to let the world listen to her singing voice. She said in an interview with HitFix just last month, "I can't stand singing. The idea of singing in front of people is my biggest fear in the entire world. I cried the day that I did that," The sweet and lovable Lawrence added of performing the hit Hunger Games song during its filming. "I was shaking. I was like, 'I want my mom.' I've never listened to it. When that scene comes on, I plug my ears."
