The sequel to Tripwire Interactive's "Killing Floor" is among the many highly anticipated video games of 2015.
While waiting for the release date, here are the available details of "Killing Floor 2" including release date, gameplay and the advanced gore system everybody seems to be raving about.
The most important detail of "Killing Floor 2" is the information about the release date. While only rumors have been found online on a specific release date, "Killing Floor 2" developers apparently has set their eye on a 2015 release date. While there has been no mention of a specific release date, many have speculated a Q1 2015 release date for "Killing Floor 2"-this attributed to the current development status.
Since the development of "Killing Floor 2", Tripwire Interactive has highlighted the gore in playing the series. Recently, they have unearthed another developer diaries part 2, titled "The Gore (part 2) that demonstrates how gore plays into "Killing Floor 2".
Creative Director William Munk shares bits about "Killing Floor 2" gameplay and focuses this developer diary trailer on the weapons available upon the "Killing Floor 2 release date. He says that while there are many other weapons to choose from during gameplay of "Killing Floor 2", he will only mention a few to keep fans on their toes.
Among the weapons of "Killing Floor 2 gameplay include low and big projectile guns, bladed and blunt weapons. Munk shares in the developer diary trailer: "Each one will react with the creatures differently. For instance, if I shoot with a high caliber weapon, I can blow his arm off or it will explode his head. Something like a shot gun, is gonna rip his head apart, probably blow his shoulders off, blow him in half. With our gore system and our melee system mixed together, makes melee so fun."
"Killing Floor 2" gameplay also reveals that an added feature to the katana weapon includes being able to slash enemies while equipping the sword.
Another feature of "Killing Floor 2" also includes Zed time, made available in the "Killing Floor" release. John Gibson, Tripwire Interactive president shares that Zed time for "Killing Floor 2" has been further visually enhanced for a more dramatic flair.
