Who is the best-Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo? EA Sports' FIFA 15' has Messi ranked first at the position in the new video game's player ratings. Ronaldo is at the second spot with a 92-rating.
The player rankings in FIFA games are traditionally derived from a comprehensive look at each players' attributes, strengths and weaknesses, with EA Sports working harder with each new game in the series to make the rankings closer to reality.
Bayern Munich and Holland winger Arjen Robben is at 3 and his rating is 90. Despite the same rating PSG striker Ibrahimovic is at 4, number 4 position is Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer. Barcelona star Andres Iniesta and Luis Suarez are sharing same score of 89 and they are respectively at sixth and seventh position. Meanwhile, two Bayern Munich player Bastian Schweinsteiger and Franck Ribéry both have 88 points and they are at 8 and 9, respectively. Eden Hazard is the only player of English Premier League in the top ten. Though, Chelsea winger's rating is also 88.
Stars like Angel Di Maria, Neymar or Wayne Rooney are not in the top ten. This Ratings have been largely based on the performance of the player's last year, cup and league games. In the video game, player's ability is also judged by the basis of performance.
Some people believe that this year Ronaldo should have been at the number one spot considering his 2013 FIFA Ballon d'Or win, Messi continues to be the poster boy and cover star of the series, so it's no real surprise that he is again rated so highly, even if he wasn't as impressive last season.
Messi is on the cover of the game. Maybe next year for Ronaldo.
