One of the Flash - Arrow crossover episodes will see the team from S.T.A.R. Labs provide help to the Arrow/Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in catching a new villain. Everybody should have seen this coming. If there is someone, or a group, that can track down villainous elements, that is the group of Barry Allen (Grant Gustin). Danielle Panabaker's Caitlin Snow and Carlo Valdes' Cisco Ramon are the resident investigators of S.T.A.R. Labs who finds answers on different questions through science.
While Team Barry are willing to help Oliver Queen, they will find themselves experiencing culture shock after seeing what it is like in the world of the Arrow. Talking to the Hollywood Reporter about the upcoming The Flash Arrow crossover episodes, Stephen Amell said that Barry Allen and his crew will have a hard time digesting what's in front of them when they meet the villains that the Arrow fights.
"The stakes are more real than [Barry] realized," Amell noted.
"Everything in this [Flash] world with metahumans and villains with corny nicknames [is lighter]. Then they come to Starling City, and they experience a life-and-death situation ... so that changes things for them a little bit."
Grant Gustin added that the Flash Arrow crossover episodes will also have events that make Cisco realize that working to curb the dark side is not that easy.
"It's actually more interesting to see Cisco accept the reality that this is not a game," Gustin said.
"In Central City, our bad guys have powers, and it's easy to have that detachment from reality because I'm running around with lightning speed, and these guys have these other crazy powers, and we're stopping them and putting them in our prison, essentially. Things are just a little more real in Starling, and I think that rocks Cisco a little more. It puts things in perspective for him."
"When the characters cross over from one city to another, they become affected by the tone of that particular city," Flash star Carlos Valdes said. "Starling City has more of a darker, violent edge to it, so when Cisco, Caitlin and Barry come over to that side, there is a change that colors the tone of these characters and the story.
The Flash Arrow crossover episodes will air on December 2 and December 3.
