The 43-year-old famous singer Idina Menzel had recently hinted something that Disney fans will be extremely excited about.
In a recent interview with The Telegraph, Menzel subtly hinted that one of the most famous Disney film Frozen will be having a sequel. The record-breaking smash hit film became the highest grossing animated movie in history back in May 2014.
The singer was asked in the interview if she could talk about the rumors of a sequel of the film and the possible stage adaptation as well as a Frozen short that may be on its way. She replied, "They're all in the works!"Just last month, a Frozen short was confirmed.
Is the singer willing to participate in all three? To which she replied, "Yeah sure." The singer also noted that she has not yet signed up for a stage show in the meantime. She continued to tell Telegraph, "I don't know what will happen with that, but the movie hopefully. We'll see. I'm just going along for the ride."
The Broadway veteran singer was the one who gave life to the character of Elsa when she did her voice in the film. She has enjoyed the mainstream success with the movie's very popular theme song Let it Go which was released in November 2013.
The Disney movie Frozen has also inspired as far as wedding dresses, Halloween costumes, and Let it Go music covers. The widely renowned theme song had won Best Original Song at the Oscars last March.
Menzel told Cosmopolitan.com last April, "It was such a dream of mine to be in the Disney family and become an animated queen." Will the singer reprise her role as Elsa in a Broadway production? She replied, "I'm always afraid to hope for something because I don't want to be disappointed," she said during that time. "Instead of worrying, why not enjoy the idea of the positive outcome, and if it doesn't happen, you get over it."
