Hold on to your horses folks! It's just a friendly reunion and nothing more!
Almost 25 years have gone by after the famous couple's split, Sean Penn and Madonna had once again reunited on Thursday night. However, it was not just the two of them. The reunion was also with about 20,000 other people. The veteran actor had attended the concert of the Material Girl singer, and also his ex-wife's concert at the Los Angeles' Staples Center, which was also attended by several celebrity fans like Nicole Richie, Jessica Alba and Emma Roberts on Wednesday evening.
Though some of the photos showed the 52-year-old actor was standing outside the arena by himself smoking cigarettes, there were other reports saying that he was also seated at the front and center of the arena, next to the wife of Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson.
Madonna's concert last Thursday was apparently not the first time the two stars have gotten together since their divorce last December 1987, just after two years of marriage. Last February, Penn and Madonna were also seen on the dance floor at the latter's post-Oscars party. Back in 2007, Penn was remembered speaking highly of his ex-wife, despite the fact that she once revealed the actor's abusive nature and his issues with alcohol before in her divorce papers.
According to Penn on his ex-wife Madonna, "She was a phenomenon, but nothing could have told anybody what would happen next." He added, "I describe that marriage as loud. That's how I remember it. I don't recall having a single conversation in four years of marriage. I've talked to her a few times since, and there's a whole person there. I just didn't know it. I was just living in my own head. Who was it that said 'Men are vain, particularly young men'? That was me, and I liked to drink a lot."
