Even big celebrities can lose their money in just a blink!

78-year-old actor Burt Reynolds is currently selling off a bunch of his personal items due to money problems. The Deliverance actor is auctioning off his 1998 Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in Boogie Nights, a red jacket from Smokey and the Bandit II and plenty of other Hollywood memorabilia in a bid to earn cash.

In a statement that was released by the auction's organizer, Julien's Auctions, "I've collected so many things that I truly adore but at this stage of my life I find it very difficult to manage them all."

The said auction is going to take place on December 11 and 12 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. There are also several awards, prop guns, boots and also a monogrammed surrey carriage given by Dolly Parton, among other things.

Burt Reynolds is an American actor and director known for his films Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, White Lightning, Gator, The Longest Yard, All DGgs So to Heaven and Boogie Nights. Reynolds won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor - Motion Picture and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. He was a huge box office star in the 1970's and 80's but unfortunately, he had a string of poor investments and a divorce from the actress Loni Anderson in 1993 which left him financially down, according to reports by The New York Daily Times.

Reynolds eventually filed for bankruptcy in 1996 and closed the case in 2007. In 2011, banks had filed a foreclosure action saying Reynolds had failed to make any payments on his waterfront Florida home since September 2010. Early this year, a judge had allowed the foreclosure case to push through. Reynolds has reportedly been trying to sell the 3.4 acre estate for several years and putting it on the market for more than $8 million in 2009.
