Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman Movie Confirms Breaking Bad Director Michelle MacLaren to Helm DC Movie Remake

| By

DC and Warner Bros. have made it official! Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad Director Michelle MacLaren will be directing Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman movie! The currently in-demand director will be collaborating with the current writers of the said movie so expect a whole lot of action and possible change in the rumored plot.

It has been reported earlier that MacLaren was one of the frontrunners being eyed for the job, who could bring the Wonder Woman movie up to the next level and the prestige it needs especially when a famous director is known to helm a movie as iconic as Wonder Woman.

Israeli actress Gal must be thrilled knowing the good news that a female director will get to lead her first solo film! She will make her first appearance as the Amazonian princess in the movie Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice which also stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman. Her contract with DC and Warner will last until the Justice League sequels, so she had to pass up some other great opportunities such as Ben Hur.

The Wonder Woman spin-off is set to hit screens by 2017, which puts DC to advantage from Marvel, since they were the first to come up with a female superhero solo film after quite a while, regardless of Marvel fans clamoring for a Black Widow (played by scarlett Johansson) spin-off.

DC fans were skeptic at first when they found out Gadot got the Wonder Woman role, because she didn't seem to fit the description of the female super hero. It took a while before fans have finally accepted this fact that it's Gadot they will be seeing on big screen playing the most popular female superhero of all time. Zack Snyder, director of Batman vs Superman, said that Wonder Woman character is one of the "most powerful" in the history of comic book fiction. And with that, he seemed to gave his 2 thumbs-up for Gadot as the "perfect choice" to bring her to life on the big screen.

We can't wait to hear more details from this exciting character. Stay tuned for more updates in the coming days.
