Gotham TV Series Spoiler, News, And Update: Camren Bicondova Explains Why Selina Kyle Is Just A Normal Girl

| By

In the ongoing Gotham TV series, Camren Bicondova's Selina Kyle is pretty much the saviour of many characters that are on the good side of the law. She is helping Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon in solving some crimes and looking for the suspects behind the murder of Wayne couple. She also helps Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz) find his own strength and become a fighter.

However, for Bicondova, she thinks Selina is like every 14-year old girls. She is normal like everyone else and just happened to know how to survive in a cruel city like Gotham because she had to. In an interview with Comicbook.com, (watch out: Gotham TV spoiler ahead), the 15-year old talked about Selina's time with Bruce Wayne in the dangerous streets of Gotham. She said that this episode helped her realize that Selina Kyle is just like many kids.

"Doing the scenes with David introduced me to a little bit of a different aspect of Selina because I realized that she isn't just a street thief and a survivor; she's actually a normal girl. That would be what would change my approach a little more," she said.

In previous Gotham TV series episodes, Selina is sometimes lacking empathy to unfortunate events happening around her. For Bicondova, it is just her character's way of protecting herself.

"Definitely. I think surviving on the streets of Gotham and the fact that she's fourteen and living on her own, she's had to learn a lot in a small amount of time. I think being harsh and not showing very many emotions is a defense mechanism, for sure."

In the Lovecraft of Gotham, it is Selina Kyle that the mob is after and not Bruce Wayne. This only means one thing, the young girl who will become the Catwoman will be largely involved in the feud between Gotham City's mobster. Will she be able to escape them? Find out on further Gotham TV series episodes when the show returns next year.
