After two years of production process, Paramount Pictures has finally unveiled a new trailer for the upcoming film thriller "Project Almanac." Picked up by Michael Bay's production firm on 2012, the time travelling movie is now slated for premiere next year.
The new trailer, which feels like a "Chronicle" sequel, features the group of high school teenagers who discovered plans to build a time traveling machine in a basement. The teens will then make the most out of the machine as it was shown in the teaser.
"The preview piles on the gags as they begin to indulge in the upside that time travel can offer a person." But amid the perks of time travelling, a haunting question was left. "Sure, money, fame, cars, and girls are all well and good - but what are the repercussions?"
Directed by Dean Israelite, Project Almanac tries to combine found footage and time travel in a thrilling movie. With Transformer's producer Michael Bay on its back, the upcoming film garnered good raves when it was launched during the 2013 Comic Con.
It can be recalled that the movie, which undergone title change from "Welcome to Yesterday," has its cameras rolling since 2013. Paramount Pictures and Bay's Platinum Dunes originally eyed a winter 2014 release when all of a sudden "Project Almanac" was "pulled from the cinematic calendar."
Surely, this group of teens is up for a hard back-fire in their journey of playing with time. "We've all seen Back To The Future, and if that film taught us anything it's that buggering up the past can be highly detrimental to one's present."
Changing its title back to "Project Almanac," "Project Almanac" anticipators can now relax as a release date of Jan. 30, 2015 in the U.S. and February 6 in the U.K. has already been announced. The thrilling movie is penned by Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark, who has written script for "Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension."
"Project Almanac," co -produced by Bradley Fuller and Andrew Form, will star new actors which include Jonny Weston, Sofia Black-D'Elia, Amy Landecker and Virginia Gardner.
