| By

T-Mobile has added the world's first Android 5.0 Lollipop smartphone to its lineup with the Nexus 6 and now the carrier has revealed it will bring the Lollipop flavored Nexus 9 tablet to its network in early December.

The Nexus 9 is Google's latest Android tablet and the first device to run the new Android 5.0 Lollipop announced alongside the Nexus 6, and Nexus Player in mid October, and now more details regarding the release are finally starting to come to light. It was initially released on November 3rd, but only the WiFi model is available.

Google has two new Nexus devices that look to add something new to the Android landscape. The Nexus 6 smartphone is equipped with a 6-inch 1440p display, a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel camera. The device also comes with a Turbo Charger, allowing the device to get six hours of use with only a 15-minute charge of the 3,220 mAh battery.

The Nexus 9 tablet features a 8.9-inch 2,048 x 1,536-pixel resolution (281ppi) display, a 2.3GHz NVIDIA Tegra K1 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, a 8-megapixel rear camera, a 6,700 mAh battery and front facing HTC BoomSound speakers. Both devices run the brand new version of Google's operating system: Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Nexus 9's camera capabilities include an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, ability to capture 1080p HD video and a 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat and selfies. Its wireless connectivity options include a 4G LTE radio, dual-band W-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1 with A2DP, and GPS. HTC has included its front-facing BoomSound stereo speakers found on its flagship, HTC One M8 smartphone to provide exceptional sound quality and its 6,700 mAh battery will provide up to 9.5 hours of Internet usage. The tablet's dimensions come in at 228.2 x 153.7 x 8 mm and it weighs 14.99 oz.

This is the first news we've heard regarding any type of release date for the 4G LTE Nexus 9, as no other carrier has formally announced plans, nor has Google. The initial launch it was simply listed as coming later this year, and now we have a rough estimate on when it will arrive.
