Angelina Jolie was spotted arriving at Paley Center in New York last Friday rocking knee-high boots, as she was invited to speak at the Paley International Council Summit. The 39-year old actress was also seen signing autographs for her fans that same day, wearing a gold ring with dozens of diamonds around it, which looked to be her wedding band.
The humanitarian Jolie, married long-time partner Brad Pitt in their home Chateau Miraval at South of France last August. It was reported to be a very intimate celebration with their respective families, and what made it even more memorable was participation of all their 6 kids- Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne and Knox- during the wedding preparation. Interestingly, Jolie's wedding dress and veil were decorated with drawings made by her children. How adorable! Moreover, their wedding photos were sold to People's Magazine and the proceeds went to their charity of choice.
Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Variety Magazine, Jolie also addressed the rumors saying that she is retiring from acting anytime soon. Her answer? "I'll do a few more. I'm about to direct something with Brad and myself, in fact." The mother of 6 added, "I'm happier when I get to put a camera on another actor and watch them do great work."
The Academy Award winner shared she "absolutely plans focusing on filmmaking in the future. " I've never been comfortable as an actor - I've never loved being in front of the camera," Jolie said in an interview by Du Jour. "I didn't ever think I could direct, but I hope I'm able to have a career at it because I'm much happier."
We last saw Jolie in Disney's Maleficent which was shown early this year. Her latest movie, Unbroken, which she also directed, will hit the big screens on December 25 in the US, and December 26 in the UK.
