Now that Captain Marvel movie is already out in the bag, Marvel is now on its casting stage for the upcoming film.
According to reports, Captain Marvel fans have been hinting they want to see The Zero dark Thirty actress Jessica Chastain to play Carol Danvers, but in a recent interview with the actress, she said she never had any talks with Marvel Studios regarding the said movie. Another potential candidate is Vikings actress Katheryn Winnick, who just posted on Instagram a couple of weeks ago, an art made by one of her fans that featured her as Captain Marvel.
The latest who seemed to have her eye on one of the most-coveted female superhero characters is Game of Thrones actress Natalie Dormer. Fans have also expressed their desire to see her take on the said role.
In an interview with Collider, Dormer refused to say anything about the ongoing rumor that she is in talks with Marvel for the said movie. "I'm not going to comment about potential jobs in the future because that's a rabbit hole to go down and get caught up in, but all I'll say is I'll go where the good scripts are," Dormer remarked. "For me, [Hunger Games], Game of Thrones, all my other work, I'll just go where the good scripts are." The up and coming actress further said, "I love being part of huge mega blockbusters and a I love being a part of small independent films and small stage," she added. "I'm just looking at the material. I want to know the character and I want to know the text, and then the decision I make from there." The English actress is playing Cressida in the movie Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part I and Part II.
