The Mean Girls Reunion Movie seems to definitely be possible, as the leading cast of one of the most popular movies during its release has met up for a photoshoot.
As previously reported, Lohan, Seyfried, McAdams, Chabert, and Fey reunited for a photoshoot for Entertainment Weekly, celebrating ten years since the original movie came out. Previously this year, Lindsay Lohan has hinted that she wants to do a sequel to the movie that catapulted the careers of her co-stars. During an interview with Time Out, Lindsay said: "People really love the movie: how do you top that? I was with Tina Fey the other day and I said we should do another Mean Girls. Like an older version where they're all housewives and they're all cheating. That would be really funny. I'll harass Tina to write it."
That interview definitely strengtened the rumors of a possible Mean Girls Reunion. The article from EW also featured an interview in which the cast reminisce on their times together on set while making the first movie. When asked about what they think their characters would be doing now, ten years after the film has been released, they said the following, quote:
"SEYFRIED: Karen would manage or own a store that sells really cool dog attire, like Swarovski dog collars and Halloween costumes for animals. She's probably really focused.
LOHAN: Cady's with Oprah in Africa working at children's schools with a family, teaching girls to be nice to each other.
CHABERT: Gretchen is probably running the Toaster Strudel empire. She is probably married and has, like, seven babies right now. She and Jason worked it out. She has very big curly hair.
McADAMS: Regina is a Real Housewife. She'd have too much time on her hands, for sure. She's probably found all her other Reginas."
Now that the thought about the reunion movie happening has risen to even bigger heights, fans wonder if producers will pick up on it, and reveal a release date soon.
