Mobile game application 'BombGaza' has been removed from Google's 'Play Store'. In this game, after the fashion of Israelis gamer have to bomb in Gaza Strip from air saving civilians.
Google spokesman told that so many people were outraged because keeping the app 'BombGaza' in Google's App Store after the Reuters report. So the game has been removed from Google Play Store. This game violates Google's policy. However, he has not explained which rule has it violated.
The game was developed by a company called PLAYFTW, which is run by Roman Shapiro. Though the game can still be played in Facebook platform.
The Guardian reported the review page of Google's App Store, many were outraged. Many people have expressed their dissatisfaction with the Facebook game also. The game has been downloaded a thousand times after releasing since July 29th.
When contacted by Reuters with Facebook Authorities they did not responded instantly.
Saj Ishaq wrote on PlayFTW's public Facebook page, "You disgust me"
"Utterly shameful. Real people, many of them children, are dying in Gaza," wrote one commenter George Coote, according to The Guardian. "Many of those who haven't been killed face life with debilitating injuries, bereavement and without homes. Their suffering is as real as yours or mine, and to make light of it like this speaks of your essential failure as a human. Shame on the creators of this game, and those who 'play' it."
"Please take this off the Play store. It is offensive and I am really let down that Google actually allowed this. If this game isn't removed I'm starting a Google boycott," Oma Al, a user, wrote on the game's review page, according to the Guardian.
BombGaza doesn't appear to be in any other app stores; and if it does re-surface, it'll likely be removed just as quickly as it was from Google Play.
