Selling the mobile phone sector to Microsoft, Nokia now brings an Android operated tablet Nokia N1 in the market. They are calling it as "first Nokia-branded Android tablet".

For those who uninformed, Finnish brand Nokia's devices and services division was brought by Microsoft in April. The Finnish firm can no longer use the Nokia brand on smartphones till the end of 2016, and on feature phones for 10 years.
Nokia was expected to come back on the market of consumer product. Recently, Microsoft unveiled its first smartphone in the market erasing the Nokia label and using their own name. At this time, Nokia announce to launch Android tablet in market.
Sebastian Nystrom, head of products at Nokia Technologies, who announced the Nokia N1 at the Slush technology conference in Helsinki, said, "This is a great product for Nokia fans and everyone who has not found the right Android tablet yet"
Microsoft has a number of smartphone in the market which labelled as Nokia. They also have a tablet Lumia 2520 which is Nokia-branded. It is not sure that the Nokia's declaration of bringing tablet would make any harm or not on their strategy.
Chief of research at CCS Insight, Ben Wood said, "There's no question Microsoft will not be a little frustrated that at a time when it's trying to defocus the Nokia brand, here is something that resurrects it prematurely" added Mr. Wood. "In some respects it will also cause a bit of confusion."
It seems Microsoft is not anxious of Nokia's announcement as they stated: "This is a Nokia announcement and is not associated in any way with Microsoft."
