The Lumia 830 one of the last Lumia phones with Nokia branding is now available on AT&T.
The 'affordable' flagship is said to be available on AT&T at $499 off contract. Meanwhile, Best Buy offers the handset at $99 with free shipping tied in a two year contract on AT&T.
Call quality is excellent. AT&T is behind other carriers when it comes to HD Voice and voice-over-LTE, but the Lumia 830 makes ordinary calls sound almost HD. The secret appears to be a well-tuned earpiece with lots of treble, that doesn't distort at high volumes, and cuts right through background noise. The same goes for the speakerphone-it's loud and sharp. Transmissions through the microphone are also clear, and the phone does a decent if not spectacular job with background noise; pump too much motor or construction noise through the microphone, and it'll come through, PC Mag said in a report.
The Lumia 830 sports a 5inch screen and 1280 x 720 resolution. Its design is a resemblance of the Lumia 930 and will be available in different vibrant hues as Lumia's trademark.
Its PureView camera offers a bright and clear image on its 10MP rear camera. Though a 1MP front camera is a little bit disappointing for the selfie fanatics.
This midranger phone is armed with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. Its internal memory of 16GB and expandable up to 128GB memory via a MicroSD is enough for large files storage and is backed up of 15GB of OneDrive storage.
Other features include wireless charging that shows different notifications, that lacks in other high-end devices in the arket today and Nokia MixRadio App that offers a clear and loud sound.
PC Mag also noted that, its battery life can only last up to "3 hours, 44 minutes of continual video streaming time with the screen at maximum brightness."
