Game of Thrones developer Telltale Games has released the first teaser for Game of Thrones, confirming the screenshots that leaked earlier were true and legit.
Game of Thrones: Iron from Ice, is the first of six episodes that tells the story of House Forrester, a noble family from the north of Westeros, loyal to the Starks of Winterfell. Caught up in the events surrounding the War of the Five Kings, they are thrown into a maelstrom of bloody warfare, revenge, intrigue, and horror as they fight to survive while the seven kingdoms tear themselves apart.
It was announce that the player will be controlling five different members of House Forrester, which finds itself in a "precarious position" as the War of the Five Kings unfolds around it. Telltale also said that players should be "mindful" in playing the game, of how the actions of one member of the House affects the rest as they seek to save it from destruction.
"The actions of one character can ripple out to affect the rest of House Forrester," Telltale said. "Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you're truly playing the Game of Thrones... where you win, or you die."
The Game of Throne: Iron from Ice teaser trailer also revealed some familiar characters from the movie including Cersei Lannister (Lena Heady), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer), and Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon).
According to lazygamer reports, Telltale also revealed thirteen characters from House Forrester (Game Informer source):
1. Lord Gregor Forrester - The lord of House Forrester is pledged to House Glover, which is in turn pledged to House Stark.
2. Lady Elissa Forrester - the matriarch of House Forrester, wed to Lord Gregor following the defeat of the mad king, Aerys Targaryen.
3. Rodrick Forrester - The eldest son of House Forrester is held home to protect Ironrath.
4. Asher Forrester - Son of House Forrester, exiled across the narrow sea by his father to prevent a war.
5. Talia Forrester - Named for Lady Elissa's mother, Talia is the twin sister of Ethan Forrester.
6. Mira Forrester - The eldest daughter of House Forrester was sent to learn the ways of the Southron court by her mother. She serves as a handmaiden to Margaery Tyrell.
7. Ethan Forrester - Ethan is the twin of Talia. He is drawn to educational pursuits but has been thrust into the War of Five Kings.
8. Ryon Forrester - Ryon is the youngest child of the house and spends his days chasing the twins around Ironrath.
9. Royland Degore - The quick-tempered master-at-arms for House Forrester saw his family wiped out at the hands of the Greyjoy rebellion.
10. Maester Ortengryn - Ortengryn serves the Forresters and is advisor to Lord Gregor.
11. Gared Tuttle - Lord Forrester's squire has risen from lowborn origins to serve House Forrester.
12. Duncan Tuttle - Duncan is a close friend of Lord Gregor Forrester and serves as the house castellan.
13. Malcolm Branfield - Lady Forrester's brother is the only other survivor of his house. He's also the last of his line.
As of now, Game Of Thrones: Iron from Ice has set no date yet of release but will be available soon on iOS, PC, Mac, PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox one.
