Blink 182 News: I Miss You Hitmakers May Have Finally Found A "Partner" In A Record Label To Release Their New Album

| By

Back in August, Blink 182's Tom DeLonge confirmed that the pop-punk band is indeed working on a new album. Writing on Instagram, "Rehearsals start today...And yes there will be a new album #SorryForTheWait #Blink".

The guitarist also shared via Instagram a hand-drawn flyer for their very first show, which was at their hometown San Diego, CA when they were simply known as "Blink" until they discovered another group with the same name, to then they later added "182"

Drummer Travis Barker, 38, also shared a photo of himself behind the drums, adding the hashtags #RehearsalLife #Blink #EuropeanTour #NobodyCaresGoHarder

In an interview, trio expressed that they wanted to release the album as soon as this summer, but schedules conflicted along the way, the band split from their longtime record label Interscope, not to mention that all 3 members are living in different cities.

When asked at the time if they were going to transfer to another big label, bassist Mark Hoppus responded with: "I don't know. We're keeping our options open. We're meeting with some labels."

But it seems that the trio has found a company that's suited to release their latest effort. In a recent radio interview with WRRV, Tom Delonge said that they have found their "partner" for the new album; here's his statement via Alternative Press:

"We've been searching vigorously for a partner of how we're going to put that out. I literally think I got the last email last night, as far as signing this paperwork to say, "Okay, this is our partner." So, I can't announce anything yet, but next is all the scheduling of when and how, where and with whom we do it. So I think the goal is right after the holidays, we're going to be going pretty hardcore"

Although the "I Miss You" rockers haven't made an official statement yet on their new found "Partner", this is still good news for their fans around the world patiently waiting for new music.

Blink 182's latest release was the "Dogs Eating Dogs" EP in December 2012. Independently released after their split form Interscope Records in 2011.
