Is there another war between rappers? Or is this basically men versus women, but through songs?
Recently, Eminem has gained yet another controversy - or actually, another enemy. Apparently, Eminem had rapped about raping the singer Iggy Azalea in his new song Vegas that leaked this week. Of course, the subject of the song is not so happy about it.
The Australian rapper quickly reacted and took to Twitter on Thursday, November 20, to respond to the very notorious and controversial lyrics. According to the Fancy singer, "I'm bored of the old men threatening young women as entertainment trend and much more interested in the young women getting $ trend. Zzzz."
The 24-year-old then continued, "It's especially awkward because my 14 year old brother is the biggest eminem fan and now the artist he admired says he wants to rape me. nice!" She also added that "Women in music have the bigger balls anyhow we endure much more harassment and critic."
In Eminem's new controversial track, he appears to tell Azalea to throw away her rape whistle. The lyrics goes, "Unless you're Nicki Minaj /grab you by the wrist let's ski / so what's it gonna be / put that s--t away Iggy / You don't wanna blow that rape whistle on me."
The shocking song was revealed just days after the male rapper had threatened to throw a fist at Lana Del Ray in his freestyle rap video called SHADYXV - THE CXVPHER off his upcoming Shady XV compilation album.
What do you think? Is this a power play against women? Or is this just something to catch the attention again of the media to promote Eminem's new song?
The 42-year-old singer had a lot of legal troubles, drug issues and homophobia controversies. This just added to his long line of indiscretions.
