Jennifer Aniston Gained Weight For Her New Movie Cake, Find Out How

| By

Wow! Remember the hot and sexy Jennifer Aniston? Well, she supposedly gained weight! Can't believe it?

Jennifer Aniston apparently really threw her weight behind for her new role in the film Cake. In order for the actress to fully play the character of Claire Simmons, who is a woman who suffers chronic pain after a debilitating car accident, Aniston had to fit and look the part. Her dedication entailed her to completely transform herself. And one of the hardest thing to do is to actually gain weight. The fit and slim actress had added a few pounds to fit the new role.

The 45-year-old Friends alum talked about her weight gain target at an American Cinematheque screening of the film in Los Angeles on November 19. Aniston revealed to the host and also her co-star in the movie Horrible Bosses, Jason Bateman, about how far she went just to play the character.

In a Q&A segment with the audience, Aniston was asked by a fan how she gained weight for the role. She then replied, "I knew that was coming. I basically just didn't work out for two-and-a-half months. I stopped working out and I stopped being as careful about my diet as I normally am. I was still healthy, but I'd allow more."

Another part of her new transformation is also very hard to do - which is to go completely without makeup on camera. Aniston continued, "That's a byproduct of the character. I've said it before: It's very refreshing."

This is the first time that the actress needed to do a complete opposite of what an actress is supposed to do. One is make-up and the second is the weight component.

Aniston really dug deep into the role and tried to channel another part of herself. She said, "First it was just understanding the logistics of what the accident was -- where did the pain exist, what was the injury."

Aniston also explained that she needed to lower her voice to match the character.
