Life is hard. But life is even harder if someone you love leaves you to tread alone in this world. The whole population is still shaken by what happened to comedian Robin Williams and his unexpected death. What makes it worse is that it was death by suicide and not through a natural cause.
Recently, the well-known comedian veteran's son, Zak Williams tells the public on how his family is coping with the loss of his beloved father. His family is actually very positive and is determined to persevere after his unfortunate demise.
Last Thursday, November 20, the late comedian's son spoke for the first time in public since his dad's passing last August 11. Zak revealed to Us Weekly at the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation fundraising gala that he is on the way to adjusting his life without his father..
According to Robin's 31-year-old son, "We're doing okay." Zak also spoke on behalf of his family, including his half-siblings 25-year-old Zelda and 22-year-old Cody, who are Robin's kids with his second wife Marsha Garces. Zak is Robin's son with his first wife, Valerie Velardi.
Zak added, "We're acclimating to the new normal. Everything is step by step. Personally, my wife and I are focusing on doing a lot of good. She runs the San Francisco office of Human Rights Watch, and we're working with them to do good in the world."
Inside the said event, Zak also spoke about his late father's friendship with the late Christopher Reeve, and how the both of them were dedicated to helping those in need. Zak continued, "They had a tremendous love for one another," Zak began, referring to Williams and Reeve. "The amazing thing about their relationship was their incredible drive to take the time to love, to help, and to appreciate others, even while they found themselves in great pain."
