Marvel Studios recently made news when it announced its list of superhero movies to be shown from 2016-2019, and one of those that have been confirmed of its official release is the 3rd installment of Thor movie, which is now officially titled Thor:Ragnarok.
The movie is being written by Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost, two of the writers for Marvel Comics. Although no additional supporting cast members are announced as of this time, Tom Hiddleston is expected to return to reprise his role as Loki, as suggested in the last sequel Thor: The Dark World, as well as Anthony Hopkins for his role as Odin. And of course, we can't wait to see on the big screen again People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive of 2014, Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth.
According to Screenrant, the third Thor solo film will show the prince of Asgard with his allies fight against the Fire Demons of Muspelheim, which includes the main antagonist Surtur. Although there has been no confirmation yet from Marvel or the writers regarding the said plot, Comic Book Movie somehow put two and two together from their interview with Loki Tom Hiddleston during last year's press tour for Thor: The Dark World. The British actor somehow gave a clue that the next movie will be faithful to the Ragnarok plot in the comics.
Hiddleston mentioned, "In the myth, he (Loki) has a wife called Sigyn who protects him from a poison serpent who is dripping venom into his mouth. And she has a bowl over his mouth and of course the bowl keeps filling up and she has to empty it, and so his damnation could be interesting." The actor added, "I don't know... I mean, Loki is a character who's existed in popular consciousness for 3,000 years, so there are many, many iterations I could explore... It's just a question of whether audiences would want to see him again."
Marvel fans would definitely want to see you again, Loki! Thor: Ragnarok is slated to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
