Nokia N1 Release Date/Specs/Features: The First Nokia Tablet An iPad Clone? Debuts In China Next Year!

| By

Two days ago, Nokia unveiled its first tablet that runs on the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop.

After Microsoft dropped off its Nokia branding on its Lumia phones, looks like the Finish tech giant wants to regain its dominance in the market.

Nokia's first flagship reminds us of Apple's iPhone 3G in a bigger size.

The N1 tablet is blatantly similar to the iPad Mini. So similar that even the official web page of the product is similar to how the iPad Mini is showcased on Apple's website. And pretty much all the pictures used by Nokia to show its product look as if they were taken straight from Apple.com, Techpp say.

It is said that the Nokia N1 release date will be on February 2015 making its debut in China, and will be released in Russia and Europe.

The Nokia N1 is priced at $249 excludes taxes and subsidies, and predicted its announced pric may increase

The N1 sports a 7.9in 2,560x1,536 IPS LCD display with Gorilla Glass and Nokia's zero air gap technology.

It has the dimensions of 201x139x6.9mm and weighs at 318g.

Under the hood is powerful 64-bit processor powered by a 2.4GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor paired with 2GB RAM. Its internal storage is at 32GB and does not support a microSD slot.

One of its surprising feature is its type-C USB port, making it the one of the few devices that support the new reversible USB standard. (via theinquirer.net)

Furthermore TheInquirer also added that: "it sports a decent 8MP camera (front) and 5MP (rear); the Nokia N1's price should determine how it'll fare on the market, with Apple's iPad Mini 3 currently pegged at $399. The unveiling of a new Nokia tablet should make things interesting in upcoming iPad Black Friday deals."

We'll keep updated on the Nokia N1's release date in other regions.
