Newly weds George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin were spotted at The River Cafe in London, on a double date over dinner with their friends Stella Mc Cartney and her husband Alasdhair Willis. The power couple were a picture of contentment and bliss as they dined and chatted with their friends at the said restaurant, according to the source of E!.
The gorgeous actor and his equally stunning new wife arrived at the restaurant at 8pm and were immediately recognized by the restaurant's diners. Surely, one can not just miss the presence of a George Clooney, right? "They looked very much in love," the source of E! said of the couple, who got married in Venice, Italy last September.
Both couples seemed to be having fun as they were caught by the paparazzi looking "happy and animated in conversation as the evening wore on." They stayed at the restaurant for a little less than 3 hours before parting ways. According to the source, Clooney's gorgeous wife "had lots of admiring glances from both men and women alike."
Meanwhile, the Gravity actor and his London barrister wife are reportedly looking forward to have their first baby via adoption. According to the report made by Women's Day Magazine, 53-year old Clooney and 36-year old Alamuddin are considering to adopt an orphan coming from a war-ravaged country, hoping to use adoption as a way to "highlight the plight of orphans in countries like Syria."
Although we knew that Alamuddin is a human rights lawyer, not everyone is aware that Clooney is also very much involved in humanitarian projects, even before he met his wife.Clooney has been one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace, as well as active in Not On Our Watch Project, an organization that aims to stop mass atrocities on a global level. Some of the charitable works he was also involved with were raising funds for the Haiti Earthquake victims, 9/11 victims and tsunami victims. Moreover, the award-winning actor and director is also an advocate for finding a resolution for the Darfur conflict.
