Denny's launched its "50 State Challenge" on Tuesday, urging diners of the famed restaurant brand to head to their stores across the 50 United States as a means to win prizes - including free Grand Slams for life.
The launch of the new promotion coincides with Denny's new interactive Tour of America menu, with specific items listed for particular regions in the U.S., said Denny's Corp. in a press release issued Tuesday. Some regional items listed in the press release include the Midwestern Meat and Potatoes Sandwich, Philly Cheesesteak Omelette, and the new Brooklyn Spaghetti and Meatballs, Southern Slam, Malibu Fish Tacos, Florida Sunshine Salad, and Red, White, and Blue Pancakes Breakfast.
In order to participate in the challenge, diners should head to participating Denny's in the nation using the Apple or Android mobile app to sign up. The challenge will run for an entire year, and, said the press release, a digital state souvenir will be unlocked every time a consumer orders at a new Denny's. Badges received when entering a Denny's can go for the redemption of in-store offers and coupons.
"We're very excited about the launch of our first mobile app which offers our diners even more ways to connect with Denny's wherever they are in the country," John Dillon, vice president of marketing and product development for Denny's, was quoted as stating for the press release.
"The return of our 'Tour of America' menu seemed like the perfect time to celebrate the launch of the app and set the '50 State Challenge' so that our diners travelling during the summer or enjoying a staycation with their family can get the same Denny's value and satisfaction wherever they are in the country, while gaining some great prizes along the way!"
The Tour of American menu was launched Jun 5th all-day long for a limited time, starting at a retail price of $5.99, said the press release.
