Although Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalie (Bree Turner) managed to prove their love for each other to Monroe's parents, convincing the entire Wesen community of that fact is another matter all together. Especially if they're friends with a Grimm (or two) as well. Read on for more 'Grimm' season 4 spoilers!
Monroe and Rosalie dove right into finding the cure for Nick even though they sacrificed their honeymoon to do so. Now that they're getting close to a cure (thanks to Captain Renard's mother Elizabeth), a warning from a Wesen who opposes their union comes crashing on them, too (quite literally).
"There's a lot of people [in the Wesen world] who have issues with Monroe and Rosalee getting married," Silas Weir Mitchell told The Examiner about the newly married couple's problems. "I don't think it's going to be as easy as it was convincing [them] that we're okay as it was to convince my parents. So I think there's a target on our backs."
Their inter-Wesen marriage isn't the only thing angering this group as well. With a Grimm appearing in Monroe and Rosalee's wedding, the newlyweds have become even more of a pariah in their own community.
Mitchell explained, "A lot of things that are smaller in magnitude than having a Grimm be on the altar with you at the wedding have happened that have led to terrible things. So I think, you know, that's a big deal."
He added, "When that gets out in the world not only the inter-Wesen thing but the fact that we're friends with a Grimm and if that gets known it's trouble. So I think it's just going to be ugly."
This problem won't stop them from being a friend to Nick though. In fact, it's his desire not to become a Grimm anymore that actually strains their friendship. In past 'Grimm' season 4 spoilers, it was reported that getting his powers back will be a challenge for Nick. With Juliette being the last ingredient to the cure, he will surely refuse to take it now.
"There are so many issues [that] arise in the absence of his powers for [them]," Mitchell shared."I love the guy, but now I'm kind of out on a limb, you know."
Although their friendship will be strained, it won't be anything "tragic."
"He feels bad and I feel bad for feeling angry, and I feel bad for him," he said. "But I'm also scared and angry and it's great. There's a lot of stuff swirling around in the soup."
