Complete peace is an unattainable dream with the Gig Harbor Killer leaving another body-less crime scene for DB Russell and his CSI team to mull over. Read on for this week's 'CSI: Las Vegas' season 15 recap!
In 'Twin Paradox,' the team discovers another mocking site much like the other crime scenes the Gig Harbor Killer left behind before. This time, however, the team discovers a vital clue for the investigation.
The murderer had used a recorded 911 call to lure Russell's team to the site. Sarah processed the call and they figure out that there are actually two other people in the room aside from the dying victim.
Russell and Finlay already suspected the Winthrop twins tag teamed in killing all those girls in Seattle, but since Jared Winthrop is still locked up, they realize that Paul would have found another accomplice to help him.
Meanwhile, Daniel Shaw's partner, Carrie is finally found and brought to a hospital. Although beaten and bruised, she manages to help the CSIs figure out where she was held. She also revealed that the person she met before getting abducted wasn't actually Atty. Turner but Paul Winthrop himself.
With some more digging, Greg and Finlay manage to figure out that Carrie was actually kept in an abandoned hotel. They quickly go to the dilapidated hotel, which had become the Gig Harbor Killer's workshop.
They discover a blond hysterical woman in a closet and attempt to save her but she freaks out when Greg calls for backup. She attacks him.
In a panic, she moves to shoot Greg when he tries to call for backup again but Finlay manages to fire a shot at her before she could kill Greg.
In autopsy, they find out that the woman was actually a transgender and her DNA matched the male DNA found with the dead girls they had exhumed.
Despite the evidence, Russell still thinks he was just one of Paul Winthrop's pawns.
He calls on Agent Avery Ryan (returning guest Patricia Arquette) to help him understand the Winthrop twins. Agent Ryan warns him, however, that in order to catch him he must use someone he loves to lure the Gig Harbor Killer out.
In the meantime, Finlay visits Carrie at the hospital, but she curiously witnesses her panic at the site of her partner, Daniel Shaw. Things get more suspicious when Shaw meets up with Paul Winthrop in an abandoned lot like they were old friends.
Is Daniel Shaw the Gig Harbor Killer's new accomplice? Was he the one who kidnapped Carrie?
