The most perfect face in Hollywood may have a flaw after all! Actress Angelina Jolie admitted that she also have insecurities and after all these years, is still not comfortable acting in front of the camera.
The actress had reportedly taken a break from filming with her husband Brad Pitt in Malta a while back and spoke with DuJour's Adam Rathe. This was for the magazine's winter 2014 issue.
The magazine features the Unbroken director together with the main star of her new movie, Jack O'Connel. During the interview with the magazine, Jolie admitted that she "absolutely" have plans to stop acting in the future.
According to the 39-year-old actress, "I've never been comfortable as an actor; I've never loved being in front of the camera." She continued, "I didn't ever think I could direct, but I hope I'm able to have a career at it because I'm much happier."
Looks like she finally found her true path - directing. She's a very good actress but her passion lies somewhere else. Good thing is, she's also gifted in directing. Jolie has a couple of feature films: the recently premiered Unbroken and 2011 film In the Land of Blood and Honey. Her third movie, By the Sea, is currently in production. This current movie is a film that Jolie wrote and is directing. It also stars her husband Brad.
Jolie continued to tell the magazine, "Compared to Unbroken, this film is a walk in the park." This romantic period drama is also the couple's first on-screen reunion since their 2005 film Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
When asked about challenges on the film By the Sea, Jolie explained, "The tricky thing is directing myself and directing Brad. It's hard, dramatic material, and we're balancing." Jolie continued, "It's a heavy film, and it's not easy for us. But even as you struggle through it, you're in the trenches together and you don't expect it to be easy. We're challenging each other and that's a really good thing."
