Xiaomi's recently held 11th flash sale in India could be the last to make way for their new device, the Redmi Note. Reports said that all 65,000 Redmi 1S units were sold out yesterday via Xiaomi's official e-dealer, Flipkart. The device came with a complimentary screen protector and Micro-SM card adapter.
The Chinese tech giant normally announces their next flash sale a week before the actual event, in order for shoppers to register as early as possible since the Redmi 1S units have been selling like hotcakes they can be sold out in a matter of seconds. This time around, no announcement has been made by Xiaomi when will the next flash sale occur.
There are rumors that the world's top 3 phone maker is already gearing up for the arrival of the Redmi Note in India, by third week or end of November. So far, the new phablet has been receiving positive feedback from its users. The excitement was triggered all the more when Xiaomi Vice President for International Relations Hugo Barra wrote in their official Facebook page which read "Mi Indonesia: 10,000 Redmi Note out of stock in under 40 secs today! Redmi Note coming to India next."
India is one of Xiaomi's top markets outside China, which is very strategic considering it occupies the 3rd seat among world's top smartphone market. According to Barra, India could even have the potential to be the world's second largest smartphone market at the rate it is going in terms of demand for a low-cost, high-performance device.
The Redmi Note comes with a 5.5-inch HD display and is run by a 1.7GHz MT6592 octa-core processor. It has 2GB RAM with 720P screen resolution. Moreover, it is supported by a dual SIM-card with an 8GB internal storage. Its microSD card can be expanded up to 32GB. It comes with 4G LTE connectivity and powered by a 3,500 mAh battery. The Redmi Note has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera.
