George Clooney And Amal Alamuddin Planning To Adopt Their First Child!

| By

Less than 2 months after their much-anticipated Italian wedding in September 27, Gravity Actor George Clooney and new wife human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin are reportedly planning to welcome their first child!

According to the report made by Women's Day Magazine, 53-year old Clooney and 36-year old Alamuddin are considering to adopt an orphan coming from a war-ravaged country, hoping to use adoption as a way to "highlight the plight of orphans in countries like Syria." The newly-wed couple, particularly Clooney, must have been influenced by his friends Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who have adopted 3 children Maddox (Cambodia), Zahara (Ethiopia) and Pax (Vietnam).

The Ocean's Eleven actor is also involved in humanitarian projects, just like his new wife Alamuddin. Clooney has been one of the United Nations Messengers of Peace, as well as active in Not On Our Watch Project, an organization that aims to stop mass atrocities on a global level. Some of the charitable works he was also involved with were raising funds for the Haiti Earthquake victims, 9/11 victims and tsunami victims. Moreover, the award-winning actor and director is also an advocate for finding a resolution for the Darfur conflict.

The gorgeous actor opened up on marriage and having kids in an interview by People Magazine back in 2006. "I think it's the most responsible thing you can do, to have kids. It's not something to be taken lightly. I don't have that gene that people have to replicate. But everything in my life has changed over time."

Clooney and Alamuddin had their romantic wedding in Venice with 100 guests that included Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, American Vogue's Anna Wintour and Bill Murray, Cindy Crawford, Emily Blunt and husband John Krasinski, and Rande Gerber who was Clooney's best man. Alamuddin wore a wedding gown by the late Oscar de la Renta, while Clooney wore a tuxedo made by Giorgio Armani.
