Black Friday 2014: Walmart Will Offer New $99 Tablet On Black Friday

| By

Walmart hopes you'll also take home E Fun's newest Windows tablet, the 8-inch Nextbook.

The tablet will be available at Walmart's brick and mortar locations starting on Black Friday, November 28, for the low, low price of $99.

The device comes with 16GB of internal storage.

Buyers can take advantage of a Black Friday promotion that offers a 16GB microSD card in the box, a bonus that basically doubles the storage capacity of the device.

The Nextbook also comes with a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal, including 1TB of One Drive cloud storage.

E Fun's Nextbook 8 has an 8-inch touchscreen display with a 1280x800 resolution.

The tablet is powered by an Intel Atom quad-core Z3735G processor that runs at 1.8GHz to 1.83GHz and contains 2MB of cache.

It also sports 1GB of DDR3L RAM, a 0.3-megapixel front shooter, a 2-megapixel rear camera, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro HDMI output, micro USB port, headphone/microphone combo port, 3-asix G sensor for gaming, and the Windows 8.1 operating system.

The Nextbook 8 isn't E Fun's first Windows tablet offering. The Nextbook 10.1, released earlier this year, features a detachable keyboard and bigger screen than its new cousin at 10.1 inches.

E Fun has the 10.1 priced at $199, but it's available at Walmart for $179.

Patrick Moorhead, founder and principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy, told us the introduction of the bargain-price Nextbook 8 is a classic Black Friday move.

"It's a ridiculous price for what looks like a whole lot of tablet," Moorhead says. "I probably wouldn't expect great performance, but it's a Windows tablet for a low price, and that's all a lot of people care about."
