Google Nexus 6 vs Google Nexus 5: Nexus phones are known for is killer features and as Google's flagship Nexus devices are the first to receive Android OS update.
The Nexus 6 was recently unveiled in a low key announcement last month. Compared to its predecessor its a major upgrade from its design and features.
Display and Screen
Nexus phones are manufactured by different phone makers and we've seen that there had been no resemblance of the Nexus devices when it comes to design.
As per Know Your Moblie the desciribes the design of the Nexus 5 as: " You had a slightly larger, higher definition display and new build materials, as well as improved specs, but that was about it -- nothing too dramatic had changed with regards to the overall look, feel and weight."
Though there's a little difference from its predecessor the Nexus 5 features a 4.95-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 coming in at 445 ppi.
Meanwhile, as we've already mentioned a major upgrade to the Nexus 6, it already followed the larger screens trend. It improved its screen size and sports a 5.96- inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 and provides a higher pixel density at 493 ppi.
Know Your Mobile also added that, " The Nexus 6 looks premium, features a metallic frame, and has an insanely powerful QHD panel on the front of it, which dwarfs the Nexus 5's setup both in terms of quality and size."
Hardware And Performance
The Nexus 5 is powred by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM and an Adreno 330 GPU.
Meanwhile, the Nexus 6 out performs its predecessor and boasts a a 2.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and an Adreno 420 GPU.
The Nexus 6 is in line with the Motorola Droid Turbo and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that carries the same processor.
The Nexus 5 has a 16GB and 32Gb variant, and its successor offers a 32GB and 64GB variant.
The Nexus 6 is the first Android phone to run in Android 5.0 Lollipop update, while the Nexus 5 runs on Android 4.4.4 and is expected to receive the update any time soon.
As per connectivity features they both support Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC.
Camera Nexus 6 offers a 13MP rear camera while its predecessor sports an 8MP.
The Google Nexus 6 has improved camera features such as dual LED flash, image stabilisation and a 4k video recording like the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Battery
The Google Nexus 5 offers a battery capacity of 2300 mAh which can last for up to 300 hours of standby time or 17 hours of talk time, while the Nexus 6 has a 3220 mAh battery which can keep on going for up to 330 hours of standby or 24 hours of talk time, as reports claim.
Price
These two devices varies on its price tag. With the Nexus 6 major upgrade it surely worth your money that costs around $500 and the Nexus 5 is priced at $349.
