Meanwhile, Korean Tech giant aims to bring back its dominance on the midrange market.

Display
The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime phone has the dimensions of 144.8 x 72.1 x 8.6 mm and weighs 156g. It sports a 5-inch display with resolution of 960 x 540 and 220 ppi.

The HTC Desire 816G is thicker at unoticeable 0.1mm and lighter at 158g compared to its predecessor and has a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1280 x 720 with a higher pixel density 267 ppi.

Hardware and OS

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and Adreno 306 graphics.

While the Desire 816g has a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor and Mali-400MP2 GPU.

Both phones are supported by 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The Galaxy Grand Prime has expandable storage via microSD UP to 64GB while the Desire 816G is expandable up to 32GB only.

Camera set-up


The Galaxy Grand Prime has an 8-megapixel rear camera and 13MP on the HTC Desire 816G, ans ports a 5MP front selfie snapper.

These phones features autofocus, LED flash and can capture 1080p video.

Battery and Price

Both handsets features a 2600mAh battery, but the HTC Desire 816G's battery is non-removable.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime costs around $280, while according to Fone Arena the HTC Desire 816G costs aroun $422.
