Hardee's fast food restaurants have announced that they will be expanding their franchise in the city of Charlotte, N.C. within the coming years by developing and opening 35 new restaurants in the metro area.
CKE Restaurants, Inc., the parent company behind Hardee's, said in their press release issued Friday that they sought to "expand its Charlotte footprint" in opening even more stories over the next several years, from the currently-existing 51 stories in the major North Carolina City.
"Hardee's is ranked among the highest quality and best tasting brands in the burger segment and is recognized for our consistent track record of sales growth and solid unit economics," Ned Lyerly, CKE's Executive Vice President of Global Franchise Development, stated for the press release. "We are excited to expand in the Charlotte area, and we're now looking for experienced multi-unit operators to join the brand."
"Our commitment at Hardee's to serve premium-quality, great-tasting food is rivaled only by our commitment to the success of our franchisees." continued Lyerly.
As part of their strategy to expand and seek new franchise locations, Hardee's, according to the press release, will be hosting an Executive Roundtable meeting on June 7, 2012 in Charlotte from 12:00pm - 2:00pm to exchange information and discuss what benefits would come from opening Hardee's restaurants in the city. They also plan to look at specific opportunities that owning a Hardee's restaurant may have to offer in Charlotte with those interested in opening a shop.
Potential store owners can go to the website https://www.ckefranchise.com/Success to sign up and join the meeting with the Franchise Development Team, have a one-on-one meeting with the Hardee's executives, or participate in a seminar to learn more about opportunities. Those qualified to possibly open a new Hardee's franchise must, as stated in the press release, own a minimum net worth of $1 million and a minimum liquidity of $300,000, and expect an initial investment of $1.1 million, including the franchise fee, from Hardee's.
Hardee's Food Systems's opened in North Carolina in 1960, and has since, by the end of the 2012 fiscal year, opened a total of 3,243 stores, according to the press release, in 42 states in the U.S. and 25 countries worldwide. This includes CKE Restaurants' other child company, Carl's Jr., of which 1,313 restaurants are open, and 1,912 Hardee's branches.
