The upcoming classic fighting game is nearing its release date and the characters of "Mortal Kombat X" haven't all been revealed yet. Read on about the new 30-minute gameplay video unveiled containing possible new characters and awesome gameplay.
Early in October, director Ed Boon teased about "Mortal Kombat X" characters by posting a photo on his Twitter account. This photo contained six boots all with white question marks-the first boot colored and tagged as Quan Chi's, the other five gray-scaled.
The Internet went crazy for the tease, speculating about the characters that owned them. Although until today, nothing boot-connected has been revealed, there are a few other information released that shows more characters of the upcoming "Mortal Kombat X" prior to its release date.
Recently, Boon was at it again, teasing on the characters of "Mortal Kombat X" before the release date. However this time, the boots weren't the center of the tease although included in the post. In the Tweet, Boon shows the six boots in gray scale, with two identical caricatures of what looks like Jack Nicholson, coupled with text that says "One of these days..." No other information was released so that means we'll just have to wait until "Mortal Kombat X" release date to find out.
Meanwhile, NetherRealm Studios released a 30-minute "Mortal Kombat X" gameplay that reveals not the new characters but the character variations of the already announced characters appearing upon the "Mortal Kombat X" release date.
According to the gameplay revealed prior to the "Mortal Kombat X" release date, each character is given three separate variations that allow them special skills.
According to Latin Post for instance, the "Mortal Kombat X" gameplay reveals Kotal Kahn's character. The report goes, "Kotal Kahn's three variations were shown in the live stream. His three modes are Blood God, War God and Sun God. His Blood God mode displays his offensive and defensive skills. Put him as a War God and a big sword is given to him. Finally the Sun Gode variation gives him more grappling skills and the ability to take health away from his opponents."
"Mortal Kombat X" release date for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows is scheduled for April 14, 2015. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 to be released by a different developer.
