Originally to be released exclusively for PS3, now "Persona 5" is also being developed for PS4. However, information remains scarce, but here's what we have so far for the upcoming "Persona 5" prior to its release date.
According to reports online, release date for "Persona 5" PS3 and PS4 versions are set on a vague 2015 for North America and Japan. With development news surfacing as early as 2010, hopefully the 2015 release date will not be delayed further.
While there isn't much detail on "Persona 5" PS4 apart from the vague release date, there are a few surfacing online based on the translated "Persona 5" PS4 trailer.
According to the deconstruction of the trailer in Tay.Kotaku.com, we are introduced to a character and the setting gives off a semblance to the previous "Persona" games. In the article "Persona 5" PS4 trailer is described as "We are introduced to a boy on a train. The scene is evocative of the beginnings of Persona 3 and 4 where the protagonist began the game arriving by train in a similar fashion to this and suggesting this is the protagonist of 'Persona 5'. Judging by his demeanor and appearance, we might assume he is introverted. He also has a fairly melancholy expression on his face throughout the trailer."
Video game designer Katsura Hashino talks about "Persona 5" PS4 prior to its release date revealed on the same site saying, "The characters...are out to destroy that which suffocates people in today's society... I want players to come away from this game feeling they have the power to take on the world around them."
