While "Prometheus 2" release date remains unconfirmed, changes in details including monsters and script are revealed by director Ridley Scott and actor Noomi Rapace.
While director Ridley Scott seams to have his plate full with other projects that include "The Martian" and "Blade Runner 2", it seems that development for "Prometheus 2" remains constantly evolving, however, the specifics of the release date has been changed due to script rewrites by Michael Green.
In an interview with Yahoo! Movies UK, Scott shares information about the development of "Prometheus 2" and its changed release date. Scott shares, "Right now, as we speak, it's being written. I've had 15 drafts evolving. I definitely want to do that ['Prometheus 2'] again because I really enjoyed doing 'Prometheus'".
Scott also shares details and updates upon the "Prometheus 2" release date, including a sequel without the Xenomorphs. In the same interview, he shares: "The beast is done. Cooked. They didn't want to do it and I said, 'I want to do it, it's fantastic'. But after four ['Alien' movies], I think it wears out a little bit. There's only so much snarling you can do. I think you've got to come back with something more interesting. And I think we've found the next step."
With the Xenomorphs out of the picture, what do we have now that threatens Elizabeth Shaw's existence? Noomi Rapace talks to MTV about the possible villains upon the "Prometheus 2" release date saying, "God maybe? God or Devil, I don't know. I don't know where he's going to take us, but I can't wait to go there."
According to reports, "Prometheus 2" release date was initially set for March 4, 2016. However due to Scott's other projects, "Prometheus 2" release date might be moved but confirmations on this change have yet to be announced.
