‘Grimm’ Season 4: Nick Still Powerless In Episode 3! Captain Renard’s Mother Wants To Help Make The Cure?

| By

Why is Nick Burkhardt still powerless?

When executive producer David Greenwalt teased fans that Nick's new predicament will last longer than the zombie issue from last season, nobody really thought it would take him longer than three episodes to actually get them back. When will our supernatural detective be "normal" again in 'Grimm' season 4?

Although there was still no actual cure, last Friday's episode gave fans hope when Captain Renard's Hexenbiest mother offered to help reverse Adalind's spell on Nick. What Elizabeth figures out, however, makes her, Rosalee, and Monroe more than a little bit worried for Nick.

Elizabeth wondered if "Adalind knew the risk to herself when she made this spell... To the both of them." This would probably have something to do with the painful mind connection the two individuals in question are having lately.

However, thanks to Claire Coffee's (who plays Adalind) earlier teasing, we already know that something "explosive" will happen to the both of them (thanks to the "horrible, magical" connection they have) in episode eight!

Viewers of 'Grimm' season 4 will have to wait for five more episodes to find out how "horrible" this link really is.

In the mean time, Nick and Hank investigate a murder that leads them to a boxing gym and its shady Wesen promoter. Since Nick still can't see the creatures, he reluctantly brings in Trubel again. This time, she doesn't fall into danger but she did snap the Heftigauroch's neck.

After fighting without his Grimm powers, does Nick finally realize that he is in desperate need to get his abilities back?

As for Adalind, she finally manages to escape the Royal's prison thanks to a Rumpelstiltskin-like man who helps her find a secret passage. The question, however, is if she really is free or if this is just one of Viktor's ploys?
