The rising Chinese tech giant has announced on its blog that the Xiaomi Mi2 Android 5.0 Lollipop Update has finally rolled out. Surprisingly, it is one of the first phone manufacturer to roll out its Android 5.0 Lollipop update.
As reported by IB Times the Android 5.0 L update is for Xiaomi Mi 2 and Xiaomi Mi 2s and according to its sources Xiaomi Mi 3 and Xiaomi Mi 4 will follow the update.
The announcent was posted on its official MIUI blog that reads:
"Android 5.0.0 (Lollipop) for Xiaomi Mi 2/2S [4.11.11] by @Ivan秋叶随风 is here! It's finished last week and being tested on Monday. No serious bugs. Do not recommend dual-boot."

IBTimes also added that, ' These bugs indicate that the update is still in beta-phase with some minor concerns. However Xiaomi is always very concerned about bugs- fixing and their MIUI community always responds to issues with quick patch releases."

Meanwhile, other phone manufacturers will follow the update on their selected phones.
It was reported that Google had minor problems on its Nexus 5 update to Android 5.0 Lollipop with 'excessive' battery drain.
Meanwhile, Motorola had been testing the update on its Moto X the first to receive the update among its announced list of Motorola phones to receive the update.
According to reports the update on Moto X will roll out next week in Poland and to follow in other countries. While Moto X users in the US has no definite date when they will be receiving the update and it will depend on their carrier's announcement.
Sony already announced its list of phones to receive the update last month. LG and HTC confirmed too.
