The sister of world-renowned singer, Beyoncé Knowles, is getting hitched! Solange, Beyonce's dear sibling, will be wed to her long-time boyfriend, Alan Ferguson. The wedding will be held this weekend in New Orleans according to sources who confirmed to Us Weekly.
The 28-year-old singer and songwriter, has kept her nuptial as well as her engagement to the video director a total secret. The wedding will take place near the home of the singer, which she shares with her 10-year-old son, Julez, from her first marriage.
Though Solange tried her best to keep her wedding a mum, media has its way of finding out the good news, and even better, media also has the power to get the details of the special event.
According to a source who does not want to be named, this coming Friday, on November 14, the bunch will be enjoying a movie night together before the rehearsal dinner the next day. On Sunday, November 16, the loving husband and wife to be, Knowles and Ferguson, will finally tie the knot in front of friends and family.
Solange has followed her sister, Beyoncé's footstep as Beyoncé married singer Jay Z in April 2008, also in a secret ceremony.
This will be Beyoncé's younger sister's second wedding. In February 2004, she was wed to Julez's father Daniel Smith when she was 17 and he was 19. They fell in love when they were young and they subsequently ended their marriage in 2007. She confirmed the divorce with the magazine Essence. Solange, to this day, continues to co-parent her 10-year-old son with her ex.
