After garnering positive raves about its previous smartphones, LG is rumored to have a new tech-advance handset underway, the LG G4. After the release of its current flagship LG G3, rumors about the upcoming high-end phone from the Japanese tech-company have surfaced.
But recently, LG finally shed some light after it announced its success in creating bezel free HD screen. The company's LG Display division said it made a 5.3-inch Full HD LCD screen that is set with 0.7mm. bezel, creating the world's narrowest bezel to date.
The announcement explained the almost no bezel screen was made possible by the company's Neo Edge technology and Advance In-Cell Touch (AIT) Technology, which is another first by LG. The new screen, that will surely make smartphones slimmer, is set for mass production this month and will be available first in China, where large screens are really sought after.
Tech Radar reported that the new advancement will be available not only for LG phones but also for other handsets of other companies. But more likely, LG will probably use this new screen technology in the upcoming LG G4. The bezel free screen will surely make G4 handier as it will be slimmer and will feature better touch capability.
Aside from the slimmest bezel screen or even no bezel at all, reports also said G4 may have 5.7-inch or even 6-inch display with ultra HD 4K resolution. LG G4 is also said to have 64-bit chip that is set to e the trend next year. LG's upcoming high-end smartphone is also expected to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 with Cat 6 LTE that will support faster web connectivity. 64-bit chipset will also allow dual RAM thus, LG G4 may sport 4GB RAM.
Design wise, LG may also be joining the metal build trend as Samsung, known for its plastic material, has recently release its metal smartphone line. Because of its bigger screen and larger RAM and processor, G4 is also expected to sport a better power source compared to G3's battery. In terms of snapper, G4 will likely carry over G3's optimal image stabilization and laser auto-focus.
LG is doing a great job in keeping more information about LG G4 that is rumored for a 2015 release date, more likely in the upcoming Mobile World Congress on March. But tech-buffs will surely remain vigilant as LG G4 is indeed a smartphone to watch out for.
