Is this another family feud? Mother-in-law versus son-in-law: who's telling the truth?
Candy Spelling, reality star and actress Tori Spelling's mom had spoken out her son-in-law's accusations that she hasn't helped the family out financially.
In an interview with Access Hollywood last November 5, the reality star and husband of Tori, Dean McDermott, revealed that he was leaving the reality show True Tori. He also talked of how he contemplated suicide, and finally accused his mother-in-law of not supported his family financially.
The 47-year-old father of four admitted that he sees his mother-in-law, 69-year-old Candy, only about eight times a year. When asked if the late famous producer Aaron Spelling's wife had shared any of Spelling's estate with Tori or the family, he said, "In my recovery, all I can be is honest and no. No. There's no financial help."
But Candy is barking against McDermott's claims and told Access Hollywood, According to her rep, "Candy has provided financial help in the past and has offered repeatedly to pay for the children's private schooling and Tori has never told her where to send the money." The rep added that the grandmother to Tori and Dean's kids also wants to spend more time with her grandchildren, "Candy reaches out often to see them and unfortunately Tori and Dean are not often responsive."
The Spelling family's estate, known as the Spelling Manor, is massive and legendary. It was said to have a bowling alley, an entire floor of closets, and a parking lot that accommodates up to a hundred vehicles. Candy's late husband who died in 2006, Aaron Spelling, produced hit shows such as Beverly Hills, 90210, Charmed, and 7th Heaven. He left the estate manor was said to be worth $500 million.
Who do you think is telling the truth? The mother who has the manor? Or the son-in-law who's not felt his family's fair share of the money?
