David Beckham's Son, Brooklyn, Reportedly Signed With English Football Club Arsenal

| By

At 15-years old, Brooklyn Beckham, son of former football star David Beckham and Spice Girls member Victoria, has already achieved what most people of his age dream of, a football career. According to reports, Brooklyn has signed a contract with English Premier club Arsenal which is also one of the richest in England. It is no secret that his father was a former EPL star, too, having played for Arsenal rivals Manchester United before traveling around Europe and the United States to play for clubs like Real Madrid, AC Milan, Los Angeles Galaxy, and Paris Saint Germain.

According to sources close to Arsenal, Brooklyn Beckham impressed coaches in the team's camp. He, along with his father and two other brothers, have been a constant sight at the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal's homefield.

"Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played," the source said of Brooklyn Beckham's signing.

"He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club. Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent. They have seen that potential and protected their asset."

The source added that Arsenal is not the only club interested on Brooklyn Beckham. Perennial Premier League contenders like Manchester United and Chelsea also tried to court David Beckham's son.

"The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime. Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal."

This is a surprising club of choice for the family given David Beckham's fruitful years with the Manchester United. The older Beckham played 11 years for the Old Trafford-based club wherein he won six EPL trophies and one Champions League.

Aside from Brooklyn, David Beckham's sons Romeo, 12, and Cruz, 9, are also under Arsenal's youth program.
