Marvels' Black Panther Is Batman If He Were King Of A Country!

| By

Marvel Executive Editor and senior VP Tom Brevoort told ABC News today that Black Panther is what Batman would be if he were a king of a country.

"He's the whole package."

The comparison is simple. Both of them are dark, mysterious, a little arrogant types of characters who rely on strategy, intellect, and cool gadgets over plain brute force. They also have similar costumes, dead parents and an animal-themed identity things.

T'Challa's calculating mind is one of his sharpest weapons against his enemies. He is considered one of the smartest people on the entire planet - and he has the physics Ph.D. from Oxford University to back him up. He is also a skilled politician but he's good at plain old fighting, too, with extensive training in gymnastics, acrobatics, and martial arts.

"They are more technologically advanced and wealthier than any other nation on Earth," Brevoort said.

Black Panther is a superhero created by writer-editor Stan Lee and penciller-co-plotter Jack Kirby that appears in publications by Marvel Comics. This fictional character whose alter ego is T'Challa, king of the fictional African nation of Wakanda, first appeared in Fantastic Four #52 (July 1966) before headlining his own series, Jungle Action, starting in the 1970s. He is the first blacksuperhero in mainstream American comics, debuting several years before such early African-American superheroes as Marvel Comics' the Falcon, Storm and Luke Cage, and DC Comics' Tyroc, Black Lightning and Green Lantern John Stewart. It also ranked the 71st greatest comic book character of all time by Wizard magazine. IGN also ranked the Black Panther as the 51st greatest comic book hero.

Black Panther's abilities includes Superhuman senses, olympic-level strength, speed, reflexes, stamina, and agility, genius-level intellect, trained gymnast and acrobat, Wields vibranium uniform, boots, and equipment.

Marvel's Black Panther will be played by actor Chadwick Boseman; he is Jackie Robinson of the movie "42" in 2013 and James Brown in "Get on Up".

"I'm blessed to be part of this Marvel universe," Boseman said. "I look forward to making magic together."

The movie will be released on cinemas on November 3, 2017.
