Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games' upcoming video game "Evolve" release date has been moved to a later date. Even after winning "Best of Show" in the recent E3 2014, critics say the delay is probably a good move, find out why and learn more about the game here.
"Evolve" release date originally set for October 2014 has been moved to a later date, on February 10, 2015 instead. Although the creators have not revealed the reason for the "Evolve" release date delay, critics reviews this move as beneficial for the upcoming video game.
Although creators of "Evolve" are known for the success of the "Left 4 Dead" series, an upcoming video game, running in the same genre as the creators' previous video game may not fare evenly with sequels to heavy weight franchises.
According to the International Business Times (Australia), the original "Evolve" release date will have been launched simultaneously with highly anticipated games such as "Assasin's Creed: Unity", "The Evil Within", and "Alien: Isolation". Although relatively in a different genre, "Evolve" might not be strategically set for a good release date with these others nearing its respective launch.
Explaining on the delayed "Evolve" release date, the report reveals "The bottom line is 2014 may not be a good year for 'Evolve' to be released."
Upon "Evolve" release date, gamers will experience "the next generation of multiplayer shooters where four Hunters face off against a single, player-controlled Monster in adrenaline-pumping 4v1 matches. Play as the Monster to use savage abilities and an animalistic sense to kill your human enemies, or choose one of four Hunter classes (Assault, Trapper, Medic and Support) and team up to take down the beast on the planet Shear, where flora and fauna act as an adversary to man and monster alike. Level up to unlock new Hunter or Monster characters as well as upgrades, skins, and perks. Earn your infamy on the leaderboards and become the apex predator."
