Internet Movie Database (IMDB) has confirmed the release of this upcoming movie "Foxcatcher" in movie theatres on the 2nd week of Nov.2014. A film directed by Bennet Miller, it stars Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo and Steve Carell, among other casts.
Coming Soon has disclosed that this a story about the relationship between the gold medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz, portrayed by Channing Tatum and his millionaire-benefactor John Du Pont, role played by Steve Carell, who has gone sour and led to unexpectedly tragic event.
This story revolves around misguided loyalty shown by actor Channing Tatum and emotional bankruptcy exhibited by the wealthy sponsor John Du Pont. With all the wealth he got, J.D. Pont needs something that money cannot buy. He lacked the respect that he knows he deserves from his peers.
On the other hand, Mark Schultz, Olympic gold medalist, yearns to immortalize his legacy by taking advantage of the offer extended by his affluent sponsor, Mr. Du Pont, in order to train as a team for the 1998 Seoul Olympics along with his brother Dave, portrayed by Mark Ruffalo.
Although the wealthy sponsor (Mr. Du Pont) was seen as a father figure by the celebrity wrestler (Mr. Schultz , their once healthy relationship turned for the worse when the former enticed the latter into unhealthy lifestyle. This unhealthy lifestyle has taken a toll on the athlete who was on the verge of being brought down to his knees under the erratic behavior of his wealthy benefactor.
In the movie, another unexpected twist came to the fore when his brother Dave is seen being groomed to be in the limelight of things that was once enjoyed by his brother Mark. This led to tragic circumstances that led to the ruin of their once vibrant relationship between the three main characters.
Cinema Blend recounted that the frustrations being accumulated by Actor Channing Tatum becomes unbearable that he accidentally injured himself during the shooting of the film as he internalized his intriguing role in that drama-suspense movie.
