Throwback Thursday with Phoebe!!
Lisa Kudrow, who played the role of Phoebe Buffay in the all-time fan favorite series, Friends, reminisced that time.
In an Ask Me Anything session on Reddit, the 51-year-old actress had participated in the question-and-answer chat on Tuesday. This was for the promotion of the return of her HBO show The Comeback. It was not a surprise that much of Kudrow's time was spent talking about Friends.
Kudrow said, "I loved doing FRIENDS. I would have been fine if we did it 10 more years, and it was great that we finished when we did, because I've loved everything I've done since."
Kudrow appeared alongside Jennifer Anniston (Rachel), Courtney Cox (Monica), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler), and David Schwimmer (Ross) for ten whole seasons of Friends.
When asked what was her favorite episode, she named season eight's sixth episode that aired in November 2001, entitled The One with the Halloween Party. "[My favorite was] the Halloween party that Sean Penn appeared in." She continued, "For a lot of reasons. Number one was it was the first show we shot after 9/11. And that whole week, while driving in LA, people would pull up, and give me a very sad look, and a quiet 'thank you' for making them laugh."
When asked which star was the funniest off-set, Kudrow immediately answered, "See, now, 20 people would be insulted... but because I spent 10 years laughing hysterically at Matthew Perry. Off-set, it's Matthew Perry. And not laughing at him, laughing with him, sorry!"
Another funny moment that Kudrow remembered was the time involving Schwimmer's character, Ross Gellar, and an weird (but funny) hobby he took up in preparation for Monica Gellar (Courtney Cox) and Chandler Bing's (Matthew Perry) wedding. When asked about the moment on the show that made her really laugh the most, Kudrow happily replied, "Oh, the bagpipes! Ross played 'Celebration,' the Kool & the Gang song, on bagpipes! And he was SO fully committed!"
When asked if Kudrow would be willing to continue Phoebe's journey, she answered quickly, "I'll go for it," she said of a reunion. "A whole season, because to spend that much time with those people again would be heaven!"
